Appie

A free personal shopping assistant built for the largest Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn (owned by Ahold). The app is currently one of the 2 or 3 most downloaded in the Netherlands overall during the app stores lifespan.

The app provides features like a shopping list, barcode scanner, recipes and a list of weekly discounts. I was one of the first engineers on the team and the one with the most iOS experience, which I used to advice on iOS User Experience conventions for example. Eventually ~20 persons worked in two Scrum teams for the iOS and Android version.

My main roles on the team were API design, iOS platform/technology and Ux advice.
